Matching Funds
Grant funds in FY2027 require a 50% match. Matching funds my include cash, eligible in-kind contributions, or a combination of both. In-kind contributions must be documented and may include eligible staff time, donated supplied, suppliers, or other project resources. If eligible in-kind contributions meet the full match requirement, a waiver is not required.
Matching Funds - Waiver
Applicants unable to meet the full 50% match may request a waiver/modification through the Washington State Department of Health. Applicants requesting this waiver must demonstrate that sufficient local funding is not available and that public health and safety would be jeopardized if the project is not funded. Waivers are not guaranteed and must be approved by DOH before West Region EMS & Trauma Care Council can award funds that depend on the waiver.
