2010 - 2011 West Region EMS Prevention Mini-Grant

Each year, mini grants of up to $3,000 are awarded to programs that focus on the leading causes of injury or death in the West Region. Accepted projects address injuries in at least one of the following areas:

Senior Falls, Motor Vehicle Crashes, Suicide, Drowning, Poisoning (Education)

Completed grants are due to the West Region office by Friday, June 25, 2010, at 3:00 pm.

On-scene Emergency Medical Service crews are in an ideal position to deliver prevention information to a patient after an injury or “near miss,” but providers may lack appropriate knowledge or resources. The WHAM project provides an accurate, evidence-based training module for each of the top unintentional injury risks.
